Elías Puc (Mexico)

Elías Puc was born in Mérida, Yucatán, México; he studied Music at the Escuela Superior de Artes de Yucatán, with emphasis in composition. 
He has been studied with Javier Álvarez Fuentes since 2004. He also took lessons with recognized national and international composers such as Karlheinz Essl, Ake Parmerud, Ken Ueno, Mauricio Valdes, León Enríquez, Manuel Rocha Iturbide and Rodrigo Sigal.
His composition Sonor-Kapsule received in 2011 an honorific mention in the category of acoustic works, in the second Latin-American contest of Electroacoustic Composition “Gustavo Becerra Schmidt”, organized by “La Comunidad Electroacústica de Chile” (CECh), in Santiago de Chile.
Puc has presented is work in México, Colombia, United States, Ecuador, Brazil, Cuba, Uruguay and Spain.
