Polish composer, professor of composition and director of the SMEAMuz Electroacoustic Music Studio at the Academy of Music in Poznan, guest lecturer at summer courses in Poland, Belarussia, Canada, Chile, Croatia, France, Germany, Japan, Moldavia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland and Sweden; 70 compositions published, numerous awards (orchestral music: Belgrade 1979, Mannheim 1981, Paris 1984; multimedia: Warsaw 1982, Boswil 1987, Avignon 1988; electroacoustic works: Bourges 1997, Stockholm 2001); electroacoustic compositions realized at the EMS in Stockholm, SE PR Warsaw, IPEM/BRT Gent, ZKM Institute for Music and Acoustics in Karlsruhe, and the studios in Cracow, Malmoe, Stuttgart; books, articles, papers, guest lectures, summer courses, workshops on sound and music, on acoustic ecology, on experimental music in Poland, on traditional Japan music; vice-president of the Polish Composers’ Union, vice-president of the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music, former co-programmer of the annual International Festival of Contemporary Music »Warsaw Autumn«.


The Rust (Polish title: Rdza) was composed in 2009/10. The first performance was done by Modern Art Sextet Berlin at the festival for contemporary music "Poznan Spring" in March 2010. Duration: 9'19".


The score exists in two versions: for five or for six instruments and CD (fl-cl-vn-vc-pf-CD or fl-cl-vn-vla-vc-pf-CD).
